Below you will find the Rental Policy of GT Dream Cars (hereinafter referred to as “GT Dream Cars” and or “We”). Please note that this policy is subject to change without notice, at the discretion of GT Dream Cars. A complete list of our rental policy is provided to all drivers for signature prior to all rentals and the policy below does not constitute the entire rental agreement nor is it binding until signed by the client and GT Dream Cars.
Rental Agreement
All clients of GT Dream Cars are required to complete a rental agreement prior to renting their selected vehicle(s). Along with the rental agreement the client must submit a copy of their valid driver’s license as well as the valid driver’s license of any other person that will be operating the vehicle. GT Dream Cars then verifies the drivers’ licenses to ensure that the clients driving records are clean. We reserve the right to deny renting a vehicle, to any person, for any reason, at any time without an explanation.
Age Requirements
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 25. However, for certain vehicles, and for an additional charge, GT Dream Cars may rent to drivers younger than 25. However, in no case will we rent to drivers that are under 21 and in no instance are drivers allowed to operate any rental that is not approved by GT Dream Cars during the rental process.
Important Insurance Requirements
In order to rent or obtain a loaner vehicle from GT Dream Cars you must possess a valid insurance policy with Hired Auto Liability and Comprehensive Coverage. Please contact your insurance provider to verify coverage prior to making a reservation. Most insurance comprehensive policies provide Non-owner and hired auto liability coverage that provides insurance that follows you the driver when renting a vehicle that you do not own. This coverage is important for rental or loaner vehicles you may require during repairs to your personal vehicle or vehicles you rent while travelling on business, vacationing or attending an event. Furthermore, the renter must confirm with their insurance carrier that the policy they have will cover the vehicle being rented. For renters who do not have personal insurance coverage, we offer insurance that may be purchased for an additional charge.
International Clients
Clients with a valid driver’s license and valid passport (including documented immigration status) from their native country may rent vehicles from GT Dream Cars. We can arrange for insurance coverage for those international visitors renting for a minimum of two consecutive days. Please note that renters who do not have their own insurance coverage will be subject to a higher security deposit (5k-15k, depending on the vehicle).
Additional Drivers
If persons other than the primary renter will be operating the vehicle they must be listed as an additional driver on the rental agreement. Each additional driver listed will be subject to the same requirements as the primary renter. GT Dream Cars reserves the right to deny any additional drivers at any time without cause.
Delivery / Pick-up
Whether you need to be picked up at the airport or a private residence; GT Dream Cars provides free pick-up and drop-off to any location with-in a 10-mile radius of any GT Dream Cars location, for rentals of $350 or more. If you are outside of the 10-mile area or your rental is less than $350, we also deliver and pick-up at an additional rate. Please call us to find out more details. For all drop-offs, please remember to allow an additional 30 minutes for the vehicle return process.
Please note: All pick-up & delivery arrangements must be confirmed at least 24 hours in advance in order to guarantee on-time service. Any changes to pick-up or delivery times/locations with less than 24 hours notice may incur an additional transportation fee.
Return Times
Vehicles must be returned at the time stated on the rental agreement. We allot a one-hour grace period in which a vehicle may be returned for vehicles rented for a complete day (i.e. a full day rental agreement) after the time noted. However, vehicles scheduled to be returned between 8 pm and 8 am will not be given a grace period and must be returned at that specific time. Any vehicle returned after the grace period (if applicable) or late will be subjected to an additional day’s rental charge. Vehicles rented under our (1) one hour and (4) four-hour special programs are allocated a five-minute grace period after which you will be billed for the remainder of a daily rental at the hourly rate. All vehicles must be returned within normal business hours.
Damage Deposit Requirements
GT Dream Cars requires all of our renters to provide us with an additional deposit (separate from the Reservation Deposit) at the time of vehicle pick-up, which will be used to cover any minor damages to vehicle. This deposit can be given in the form of a credit card authorization/hold or cash. The cost for any damage found on the vehicle during its return inspection will be deducted from this deposit. The amount of this deposit will vary and will depend on if the renter has their own insurance policy as well as the type of vehicle being rented. Please note we complete photo inspections of all vehicles prior to all rentals to ensure that any discrepancies are clearly documented.
Cancellation Policy
When you make a reservation, we may authorize your credit card immediately for up to the full cost of the rental, though you will not be charged until you physically take possession of the vehicle.
Because we have a limited supply of vehicles to offer, we pack the schedule very tightly. We offer a 24-hour grace period after you make your reservation to make changes or cancel (unless the rental is within 10 days), after which there will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the total rental cost or $500 (whichever is greater).
If you cancel or reschedule less than 10 days before your rental (or are a no-show at the time of rental), you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the total rental cost.
Please understand that there are no exceptions to this cancellation policy. We reserve the right to amend the cancellation policy at any time.
Methods of Payment
We accept Amex, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and cash as methods of payment for rental fees and damage deposits. GT Dream Cars does not accept personal or corporate checks. In certain instances we will accept certified money orders and certified bank checks.
Fuel, Tolls & Motor Vehicle Processing Fees
EZ-Pass is included in all vehicles, so you can focus on driving (and having fun!) without fumbling for change.
Vehicles are delivered to you with a full tank of gas and can be returned full, empty, or anywhere in between.
However, when you re-fuel, all vehicles must be refueled with Premium grade (92+ octane) gasoline. There is a $1500 fee for filling up with a lesser grade. We check the grade of gasoline upon return of the vehicle so we will know.
There is an $85 fee per rental (regardless of duration) to cover the costs of fuel, tolls, and the procurement of a Motor Vehicle Report (to verify renters’ valid driver’s license and record).
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for vehicle rentals, our main goal is customer satisfaction; we will try our best to make your rental experience an unforgettable one. If for some reason you are less than satisfied, GT Dream Cars may at times offer additional days rentals at no cost, if deemed appropriate by us.
In the event this Rental Policy is violated, we reserve the right to immediately take possession of the vehicle. Furthermore the renter agrees to pay GT Dream Cars for all fees incurred as a result of the renter’s violation of this policy.
In the event of an unforeseen mechanical failure during or prior to a rental, we will make every effort to repair or replace your vehicle with a similar or better model at no additional cost to you.
Driving Area Restrictions
Our vehicles may not be driven outside the state in which they are rented. Should you need to drive across state lines please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Prohibited Use of Vehicles-No Exceptions
Our vehicles may not be used:
In the event this Rental Policy is violated, we reserve the right to immediately take back the vehicle. Furthermore, you agree to pay GT Dream Cars all fees incurred as a result of your violation of this policy.
Tickets
The renter agrees that they are responsible for, and shall pay all parking, traffic, speeding tickets or violations (i.e. towing and impound fees) received while the vehicle is in their possession. If a vehicle is impounded the time the vehicle spends impounded to actual delivery to our location is counted as if you are using the car. Therefore, you are still required to pay the rental fees and return the vehicle on time. In the event that you receive a ticket it must be reported to our customer care team immediately.
Mileage Allowance
Daily and weekend rentals include 100 miles free per day and weekly rentals include 700 miles free, unless stated otherwise. Each additional mile driven will be subject to a charge at the stated mileage rate.
Vehicles driven more than double the allotted rental mileage will be subject to an additional surcharge to cover excess wear-and-tear.
Hourly Rentals include 10 miles
Four Hour Rentals include 50 miles
Your mileage allowance will be listed on your signed rental agreement.
Weather Policy
Unfortunately we cannot control the weather. That means that, as per the cancellation policy above, we cannot offer refunds or rescheduling if the skies decide not to play nice.
However, if there is a weather condition on a particular day that might make driving dangerous (i.e. snow, ice, hurricane, tornado, floods, etc.) and you do not actually use your vehicle on that day, we may (at our discretion) offer you an extension on your rental or credit on a future rental.
For example, if you rent a car Fri – Sun, it snows on Sun, and the car remains parked in your garage, you may be able to extend your rental through Monday for no additional charge with prior written approval. If you do not have it in writing then we did not agree to it. For hourly rentals as long as our offices are opened we expect you to honor your rental agreement no exceptions. If not you will be liable for the reservation and rental costs as per our Cancellation Policy.
Discounts & Specials
Discounts and special incentives cannot be combined unless explicitly indicated. If you get a 10% early-booking discount that cannot be combined with a seasonal discount or any other incentives we may offer via Groupon or any other online companies.
Parking
In New York City, Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, Atlantic City, Philadelphia and all major cities vehicles must be garaged parked at all times. Vehicles parked in high traffic areas run the risk of tickets/fender benders due to other in-experienced drivers. Please note any damage sustained during parking is the responsibility of the renter.
